The June 17th meeting was well attended with 19 Chapter members present. This meeting, facilitated by John Ledwith and Barb White, was an opportunity to develop coaching skills through "real" practicums with observers and feedback. Using Alan Fine's G-R-O-W Coaching Model, the group practiced in trios with each person taking a turn coaching, being coached, and observing.

G-R-O-W is an acronym representing the four core components in any significant decision-making process.

"G" represents the "Goal" the individual seeks to achieve

"R" represents the "Realities" a person should consider in the context of the decision process

"O" represents the "Options" open to the decision-maker

"W" represents the "Way Forward" the action planning step.

G-R-O-W Model as a powerful change agent that enables both individuals and organizations to effectively focus on "the critical variables" of decision-making.  Session attendees will have an opportunity to develop their coaching skills during a practicum using the model.
